Un modelo estratégico de intervención en salud mental para personal médico y de enfermería

La salud mental del personal sanitario de clínicas y hospitales, por lo general, suele ser bastante deficiente, independientemente de que se trate de países desarrollados o economías emergentes, dado que los turnos de atención de médicos, paramédicos, enfermeras y auxiliares de enfermería suelen tener una cantidad de horas semanales muy superior a lo que se considera sano, adecuado y responsable. El objetivo de este estudio consistió en adaptar un modelo de prevención de la violencia en el lugar de trabajo, con la meta de rediseñar dicho modelo a las condiciones de países hispanoamericanos y de naciones en vías de desarrollo. Posteriormente, se realizó todo el sustento teórico y conceptual para darle solidez técnica y metodológica a la propuesta, y se concluye que, si este tipo de herramientas de bajo costo comienza a usarse de manera efectiva en los lugares de trabajo destinados a la atención médica, todo el personal que trabaja en el componente sanitario mejorará drásticamente su calidad de vida y sus índices de bienestar laboral.
