Abstract

This research aims to present the most significant results of a business plan for the creation of a pharmacy within the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Universitario Libertad (ISTUL), to meet the needs of the local community in the sector for human pharmaceutical products. The project is based on various studies, such as a SWOT analysis, market analysis, and financial evaluation. The methodology applied was a financial analysis based on the evaluation of the initial costs of a pharmacy, as well as an analysis of market variations. The results took into account the country's regulatory requirements, as well as the demands and competition existing in the sector. The results showed that an initial investment of $30,000 is required to establish a functioning pharmacy; a budget adjustment of $15,000 is not feasible due to market fluctuations and variable costs associated with the operation. In conclusion, it was emphasized that the viability of the project depends on an adequate initial investment and a well-structured business plan. Market competition and variability require a solid strategy to ensure the sustainability of institutional pharmacy.
