Abstract

The impact of green logistics on organizational competitiveness is one of the most active debates in contemporary business management, especially in developing economies where the environmental demands of international markets coexist with structural infrastructure and capital constraints. This paper presents the results of a qualitative research project with a hermeneutic-documentary design, aimed at analyzing this relationship in the Latin American business sector. The corpus of analysis comprises 38 academic sources indexed in EBSCO Host, Dialnet, and Redalyc, published between 2019 and 2024. The interpretive process prioritized the identification of conceptual tensions and conditions of transferability over the simple accumulation of convergent evidence. The findings reveal that the impact of green logistics on competitiveness is neither automatic nor uniform: it is mediated by the evaluation time horizon, the size and sector of the organization, the degree of strategic integration of the adopted practices, and the maturity of the supplier ecosystem. It is concluded that the strategic adoption of sustainable logistics practices generates competitive advantages expressed in reduced operating costs, market differentiation, and a strengthened corporate reputation, provided that it is coherently integrated into the organization's business model.
