This research analyzes the use of children's stories as a psycho-pedagogical strategy to promote emotional expression in fourth-grade students facing experiences of loss. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach supported by quantitative elements, with a descriptive scope and a pre-experimental design. Boys and girls from the educational institution participated, and a strategy based on children's stories aimed at addressing grief was applied to them. The results show that the intentional use of stories promotes the identification, expression, and communication of emotions such as sadness, fear, and anger, contributing to the strengthening of socio-emotional skills. Positive changes in the levels of emotional expression were also observed after the intervention. It is concluded that children's stories constitute an effective psycho-pedagogical tool for emotional support in the school context.
