The following lines present a narrative analysis of the construction of the term "decolonial art," from the perspectives of various authors. This analysis then proceeds to examine, from a historical and ontological standpoint, the visual manifestation of Pichação in Brazil. Both narratives are contrasted in a table of concepts to determine their approaches. The result is the discovery of a level of radical innovation in the transgressive object proposed by urban artists. From each author's discursive study, the concepts that best define and demonstrate their stance on the themes of beauty, art, and decolonial art are selected. This text outlines a selection of the most relevant authors for this discursive analysis, beginning with the positions of symbolism and its importance, and then exploring the themes in art and decolonial art.
