Adaptation and validation of the Watson - Glaser test: Critical Thinking in Higher Education students

With the competency-based learning approach, there has been a great interest in critical thinking in higher education. Employability, on the other hand, has had a powerful influence on its prominence as an essential competence in professional development in an innovative environment. Various authors have studied the concept of critical thinking and the processes involved in its development and formation. This article analyzes what teachers and students of higher education understand by critical thinking and the importance they give to it. The research with a quantitative approach of a descriptive nature, in its adaptation, consists of 20 items and the time determined for its resolution is 20 minutes, in person for a participating population of 16 years and older. In addition, it describes interesting results about the validation and reliability of the Watson Glaser A test of Critical Thinking (1980) in research carried out nationally and internationally.
