Efecto de las ayudas ergogénicas y su rendimiento nutricional en el atleta nadador

Resumen

Antecedentes. La natación como deporte muestra ser altamente competitiva, donde pequeñas variaciones del rendimiento pueden traer consigo diferencias significativas en los resultados, especialmente en pruebas de corta distancia; la suplementación nutricional es expuesta como  estrategia ante la complementación de optimizar el desempeño del nadador. Métodos. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura bajo la metodología PRISMA. La búsqueda se llevó a cabo en las bases de datos PubMed, Google Scholar, ELSEVIER, Redalyc, SciELO y ScienceDirect, fueron contemplados estudios publicados entre 2020-2025 y seleccionadas aquellas investigaciones analizadas en nadadores adulto joven y adulto promedio, así como analizar diferentes ayudas ergogénicas en pruebas específicas de natación. Resultados. Se encontró  que la suplementación con L-arginina, cafeína y combinación de bicarbonato de sodio con beta alanina mostró efectos positivos sobre el rendimiento, principalmente en pruebas de corta distancia y alta intensidad. Entre los suplementos analizados L-arginina destacó como la ayuda ergogénica con mayor consistencia en mejora de tiempos de nado. Conclusiones. La suplementación con L-arginina en natación puede representar una estrategia viable en la optimización del tiempo y su rendimiento, sin embargo, se resalta la necesidad de continuar con investigaciones que fortalezcan el conocimiento del uso de suplementos nutricionales en esta disciplina.
